It has come to our attention that Mrs. Herschler, a former Math Teacher from the 1950's and 60's passed away. We thought it would be appropriate to add a page dedicated to the people that helped make us all what we are today.

HERSCHLER Sara Bingham Herschler, age 83, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, Saturday, November 25, 2000 at Winchester Place in Canal Winchester. She was born in Enon Valley, Penn. on July 5, 1917. She is survived by daughter, Betty (Joseph) Downs of Madison, Wisconsin; son, Max Herschler of Waldron, Indiana; daughter, Carol (Caleb Sean) Moore of Lancaster; grandchildren, Steven (Julie) Downs, Phillip Downs and Ann Marie Downs, all of Madison, Wisc., Amanda Grey Moore and Caleb Brendan Moore, both of Lancaster; brother, John Travis (Ruby) Bingham of Indio, California; and sister, Ida (Harold) Vincent of Tucson, Arizona. Taught Math at Mifflin High School most of her career and retired from Columbus Technical Institute.

BENADUM Theodore "Ted" Benadum, age 73, of Westerville, Monday, September 29, 2003. Preceded in death by wife of 41 years in 1991, Mary Jean, parents Madge and Ed Benadum, brother-in-law Dr. Paul Weisenstein. Survived by loving children, Gary Benadum, Dr. Tim (Marge) Benadum and Kim (Tony) Pusateri; grandchildren, Samantha, Stacy, Josh, Caleb, Abbi, Hannah and Antoinette; sister, Thelma Weisenstein; special friend, Ne-Ne Beachler. Graduated from Mifflin High School in 1947 and Otterbein College in 1952. He was a teacher and the head football coach for Mifflin High School for 10 years. Retired from Roush Sporting Goods after 30 years service. Ted was a member of Blendon Lodge #339 F&AM, Scottish Rite, North East Shrine Club. Past Westerville Rotarian. Member of the Otterbein "O" Club where he started the Leather Helmet Club which he really enjoyed. Ted was a great man, devoted father who lived for his children and grandchildren. He was always doing something for someone else. His integrity, morals and values set him above the rest. There was never a day that went by that he was making sure everyone else was alright. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville, Friday 4-8 p.m. Service will be at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville, 10 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2003. Dr. Richard Ellsworth officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
