Frederick Lee "Monty" Montgomery, 71, of London, Oh., passed away August 6, 2009 at Mount Carmel West Hospital. Born November 30, 1937 in Westerville, Oh., he was a son of Mae (Justice) and Hugh Edward Montgomery. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jack, half- brothers Ted and William Montgomery, an uncle Charles Montgomery, a cousin Delpha Condit. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda (Wheeler) Montgomery; son, Bryan Edward (Jennifer) Montgomery; grandsons, Bryan Edward and Matthew Robert Lee Montgomery; granddaughter, Victoria Morgan Mae Montgomery; half-brothers, John and Randy Montgomery; half-sisters, Esther Lamp, Carol Smith, Donna Graham, and Mary Brown; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; sister- in-law, Donna Owens; and his buddy, Jake. He graduated from Mifflin High School in 1956 and enjoyed fishing, football, country music, friends and family. Fred received honorable discharges from the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army and played football for the Kaiserslautern Kippers while stationed in Germany. While employed he was a member of Carpenter's Union, Local #200.
The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, London. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
