Janice Mabrey BRILL, 66, of Columbus, daughter of the late Wythe and Jewell Mabrey, a loving mother, grandmother and sister, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Village of Westerville. Janice was a dedicated and caring librarian for the Columbus Public Schools. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Randy Pierce; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Tory; sister, Betsy Francis; and Frank Brill.

David Shortland, age 65, Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the family residence. Retired truck driver for Consolidated Freight. Preceded in death by parents Mary Shortland nee Urdock and William Shortland Sr., brothers Edward Shortland and Michael Shortland. Survived by wife of 46 years, Dixie Shortland nee Smith; children, Jody (Dallas) Deed, Chad Shortland, Natalie Shortland and Adam Shortland; grandchildren, Marcus, Matthew, Nikolas and Victoria; sister, Mary Alice (John) Garrabrant; brothers, William Shortland Jr., Robert (Linda) Shortland and Jerry (Marsha) Shortland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George (Sally) Serio, Doug (Sheila) Conley, Allen (Joy) Smith and Louie Smith; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Albert Bringardner age 65, of Cococa Beach, FL, died May 11, 2006 with his wife by his side. He was born in Somerset, OH, his family moved to Columbus in 1952. Attended Mifflin High School. Worked at Big Bear and Harts in management prior to he and a partner starting tusco.net, Tuscarawas County's first ISP. He is survived by his wife, Teresa; Sons Brett and Thomas Lee; daughters Teresa (Ron) Morley and Shannon (Brian) Bilbro; nine grandchildren; five sisters; Geneva DeVille, Doris Cooper, Deloris Girard, Marie Dawson and Mary Liebenderfer; two brothers Carl and Clarence(Tony). He was proceeded in death by his Parents; Carl and Electa; sister Martha and brother Paul. Joined in death by a Niece, Alicia (DeVille) Heavener, the same day.a Joint Mass was be held Friday May 19th, at Lady of the Miraculous Medal by Father DeVille.
Melanie Ann Stevenson, 63, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at her home. She was member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Camp Fire U.S.A. and served as their Superintendent for the Ohio State Fair. She was Past President of the PTA for Northridge and Maize Road Elementary Schools. Melanie was a volunteer for Brookhaven High School and active in the PTA and Booster Club. She worked for 20 years and enjoyed teaching sewing classes at JoAnn Fabrics. Melanie also received the Mayor's Award for her volunteering services. A prior member of East Linden United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Superintendent. She is survived by loving husband of 38 years, Philip; children, Audra (Doug) Drake and Tim Stevenson; grandchildren, Ben and Emma Drake; brothers, Lester "Buddy" (Betty) Turner, Michael (Sandra) Turner; sister, Jodi Turner; nephew, Scott Turner; and other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Lester and Eileen Turner. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Maize Manor United Methodist Church, 3901 Maize Rd., Columbus, Oh 43224. Reverend James Freshour Officiating. Interment Mifflin Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Maize Manor United Methodist Church.
