Survived by wife of 46 years, Dixie Shortland nee Smith; children, Jody (Dallas) Deed, Chad Shortland, Natalie Shortland and Adam Shortland; grandchildren, Marcus, Matthew, Nikolas and Victoria; sister, Mary Alice (John) Garrabrant; brothers, William Shortland Jr., Robert (Linda) Shortland and Jerry (Marsha) Shortland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George (Sally) Serio, Doug (Sheila) Conley, Allen (Joy) Smith and Louie Smith; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
