Obituary 2003

BOGGESS Peggy Ann Boggess, of Galena, Oh., passed away peacefully in her sleep at 12:38 a.m. on November 5, 2003 at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. Peggy was born on November 2, 1951 to her mother Mary Ann Harris in Columbus, Oh. She was the sister to Candy Rummel, Patti Floyd (Dan) and Rick Harris (Vicky). She graduated from Mifflin High School with the Class of 1969. Peggy was a loving wife to her husband, Steve Boggess for 31 years. She's been a wonderful daughter-in-law to Lillian Slain. Peggy was also the sister-in-law to Harry and Charlotte Phillips and Keifer and Cheryl Boggess. Peggy has retired with the highest of honors from the hardest job in the world - a homemaker. She devoted her life to her husband, Steve and her 2 sons, Steve Boggess Jr. and Ryan Boggess. She treated her daughters-in-law, Jill Boggess and Julie Boggess, as if they were her own. Of course, we can't forget two of the most special people in Peggy's life - her grandchildren, Savanna Boggess, 5 and Levi Boggess, 2. Peggy has also been a wonderful aunt, niece, cousin and friend to so many more wonderful people. Peggy has battled many obstacles with her health over the past 27 years. Her strong will, strength, and grace has pulled her through diabetes, ovarian cancer, kidney and pancreas transplants, multiple knee and ankle replacements, dialysis, and all the medications and complications that go along with each ailment. Her high spirits and giving personality has been an inspiration to everyone she knows. It has also allowed her to have a very blessed life. Peggy's love of teddy bears is very much apparent to all who have visited her home. Her keen eye to detail has made her the best home decorator, fashion expert, party and event planner (Peggy has coordinated most of the Mifflin Class of 69 reunions), and no one can overlook her perfection in the kitchen - anyone who's had her lasagna knows that A celebration of her life will be held Friday, November 7, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. at Westerville Christian Church, 471 E. College Ave., Westerville, Oh. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association and please educate yourself and your loved ones about this horrible disease. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh.
